Identity verification
After your private profile is complete, a supported verification provider checks a government ID and selfie/liveness. Between Shifts keeps the status and vendor reference, not copies of your government ID. Identity verification is not a background check.
Healthcare verification
Licensed professionals use a permitted primary-source license check or manual review. Healthcare employees may confirm an admin-approved healthcare work email with a one-time code, or provide private employment evidence. A school-email code confirms control of an address only; healthcare students still provide current program-enrollment evidence. Generic email is never accepted. NPI is supplemental and does not prove an active license.
If a check cannot complete
A provider error leads to retry or manual review, not an automatic rejection. Only verified, completed profiles can enter the active dating community.
