What is Between Shifts?
Between Shifts (JustBetweenShifts.com) is a dating community for eligible adults age 18 and older who work or study in healthcare. Founded by Dwayne Adams, RN, it brings together people who understand shift work and life outside the badge. ShiftSync helps members plan around shared free time. Identity and healthcare checks are separate steps; verification documents, employers and facilities are not displayed on dating profiles. Registration is free, with optional Premium benefits described on our pricing page. Eligible members can choose Early Discovery after profile completion and verification. Introductions depend on reciprocal preferences and available profiles; a local pool may be small or empty.
Built around understanding
Years ago, my wife and I met on a general dating website. We were both registered nurses. That online connection became love, marriage, and a special bond rooted in understanding the world we both work in.
There is something deeply comforting about loving someone who understands how much of yourself you give at work. Someone who understands the long shifts, the missed holidays, and the need to catch your breath after a difficult day. In a life spent caring for others, feeling cared for yourself means everything.
My wife and I found that connection, and I want others to have the chance to experience it, too. Our shared profession gave us a place to begin. The people we are beyond our scrubs gave us a life to build together.
That is the heart behind Between Shifts: creating a place where healthcare professionals can meet with a little more understanding from the start. Whatever your role in healthcare, you deserve room for laughter, affection, ordinary days together, and someone you look forward to coming home to.
